Learning, Safety & Caring

Welcome to Mission Schools

Mission Schools is celebrating its tenth year of educational operations.  Just like any small business, Mission Schools has continued to improve their academic climate each year.  Our original goal to educate under 200 students has remained steady.

One of the comments we hear consistently is Mission is like a family.  What we know is when a student feels safe in their environment; they are able to do their best academically.  Mission has always and will continue to look at the whole child.

Some Comments from Our Parents:

"My son has gone to Mission Schools for six years. This experience has been wonderful for him. The family atmosphere, the caring staff has made school such a positive experience for him. I want to thank the Mission staff for all they have done to make his experience positive. His test scores were quite impressive. We are excited about the continuation of grades for him and hope to have him enrolled until he graduates."

"My daughter has been a Mission kid for a year now and she has bloomed into a happy and bright child as well as continued to be the intelligent and quick thinking child she has always been. Mission addresses the whole student stressing academic success along with social and real life success as well, which is just as important to us as parents and just as important to our child in the real world."

"We love Mission! I searched for years for a great school where my son would get the support he needed. From the moment I first contacted Mission last summer I had a strong feeling that we found the school for us, and I was so right. This has been the most enjoyable and productive year we have had since Kindergarten. I look forward to continued success and plan on sending my two younger sons when they are school age. Like many of the other posts here, I agree that Mission really is like family!"

"I am a former student for Mission Charter School. If you are looking for a place to put your kids in Mission would be a great school. The atmosphere is like a true family. When I first went there I was shy but then the second week it felt like a 2nd home. You can talk to the teachers and they listen to you and help you solve your problems. Students have problems just like any other schools but we get through it together. When I am there I feel safe and loved by all. I love mission and will always be my school ."

Words from previous students

"Missing You"
( A poem from a student to one of our teachers)

Goodbyes aren't that pleasant,
Farewells are no good either.
I wish you could stay,
a little while longer.

Just think, you'll be
Miles and miles away.
I really do really wish
You could stay.
I'll cherish those memories
Locked in my heart,
Never forgetting
Even though were apart.

I never thought a student
Could be this close to their teacher.
I tell myself
"People come and people go."
If that's true
Then why do I have
This gut wrenching feeling?
Why am I weak in the knees,
When someone reminds me?
I thought you'd be here forever.
I thought I'd visit you
When I was 40.
All that's changed.
No one can replace you
No one can patch this
Hole in my heart.

8th Grade
(A graduate's lament)

Our class split in half
One halt to move on
The other to stay behind
Our teacher leaving

We've come so far together
Only now to say goodbye
This year I'll graduate
With my half move on
We'll go to different high schools
We'll live different lives

We've always been able
to say "see ya next year"

Not this year

This year we'll split up
Maybe come back to visit
Maybe never come again
This year we'll move on
this year we'll say
goodbye

Sponsored by Mission Charter SADD

The Mission Charter School SADD club is participating in Disney's Give-A-Day Get-A-Day Campaign.

The students, in cooperation with the Agriculture Club, are creating "treasure boxes" to donate to Treasures 4 Teachers, a local non-profit in Tempe.

Each treasure box is filled with supplies that teachers can use in the classroom. For each box donated, the students and their chaperones will receive one ticket for Disneyland California.

The MCS SADD and AG clubs will be traveling to California in May for their Disney trip!
